Fuel efficient cars are the new craze!

The New York auto show displayed the latest of what the auto industry has to offer, like the models sold at a Ford Dealer Auburn, and it shows that many automakers are releasing fuel efficient vehicles in the next few years. The rising gas prices are a major motivator behind the production of more fuel efficient vehicles, and fuel economy is a major concern for most buyers with these prices. There has been a major shift from mid sized vehicles to compact cars, some of which can be purchased from a Used Car Dealer Salisbury, and the compact car market is expected to continue to grow throughout the world. Mesa Ford Dealer sells the Ford Fiesta and Focus, two of the most popular compact cars on the market, and many other automakers are going to be releasing compact cars over the next few years.

Compact cars have begun to take the top position as being the largest segment in the nation, and although mid-sized cars are currently the largest sellers, compact cars are expected take the number one position this year. There has been a shift of 2 to 3 percentage points toward compact cars, which turns out to be 300,000 to 400,000 units per year. Beyond the cost of fuel, there have been increasing costs for transporting vehicles due to higher fuel costs, so the impact is more extensive.

Automakers are responding to rising gas and commodity prices by reducing their costs or by increasing their prices. Toyota recently had to raise prices due to rising costs for the automaker as well as the tsunami which reduced supplies throughout the world. Ford raised prices $170 per vehicle on average to help offset rising fuel costs and commodity prices and other automakers may follow suit. Oil is considered to be the biggest risk to the economy because rising oil prices mean that food and other commodity prices may rise as well. There is expected to be 150,000 fewer auto sales just because of the $10 rise in oil per barrel.

How Your Auto Loan Can Pay YOU Back!

Everyone loves cars, and most of everyone also loves to get what they want or need without paying a dime, or at least getting a reasonable discount. The hard truth is, Nissan dealer Stamford can only do so much when working their magic to get you in the vehicle you want. Even going to Volvo Dealer Santa Ana trying to find a cheaper price (if one exists) isn't so easy anymore. The price being too high on vehicles, and the maintenance and up-keep on them not being covered by most warranties causes an auto loan to be a rare thing for most Ford Dealer Chattanooga salesmen.

So instead of shelling out the big bucks for an automotive loan most are lucky to get, and then even more on over-rated gasoline and oil as well as other auto parts, why not get something that pays for itself? Why not get a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) or 'electric car' with the intent to not only help you  save money, and the exhausting trips to the gas station, but also the cost of gasoline and every-day fear of the prices? The truth is, the economy is not getting any better and pollution and our way of life is eventually going to take a toll on how we live it. However, just making simple adjustments while we still can and sticking to them could do wonders for our wallets and our own health.

The electric car is better suitable as a commute car due to its length of time to charge. Yet when you only take small trips you'll kindly notice the car has a great overall acceleration and is also generally acceptable when it reaches top speed. These cars may be a standard $25,000, but with a $7,500 United States tax rebate, and additional $5,000 if your a resident of California, it could quickly pay for itself and come out a lot cheaper then most hybrids out on the market that only carry false promises. Plus, you actually have the ability to make a significant difference with an electric car. Electric cars have potential to reduce city pollution by reducing 30% of carbon monoxide emissions by having zero tail pipe emissions.

Whether or not you decide to add the car to your garage, try to let your friends and family know about the tax rebates and the easy out on the unreliable gas prices. After all, you may be able to have them test-run it for you, and further educate you on what exactly an electric car is all about!
